*Entry-Level Data Center Cable Technician* *Location:* Altoona, IA (6-month assignment) Lebanon, IN (long-term)
*Pay:* $20-$23/hr (Entry Level) | $24-$27/hr (2+ years fiber experience) *About the Role* We are hiring multiple *entry-level cable technicians* for a large-scale data center project. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn structured cabling and fiber installation while working on one of the most advanced data center environments in the country. *What You'll Do* * Pull and install fiber and copper cables * Terminate connections and perform punchdowns * Install cable trays, pathways, and build server racks * Learn color codes and structured cabling standards * Work alongside experienced technicians and team leads * Follow strict safety protocols and use PPE *Relocation Details* * *Must relocate to Altoona, IA for 6 months* * *Transition to Lebanon, IN* for a long-term role * *Free lodging* provided during the initial assignment * *$50/day per diem* *Requirements* * Entry-level candidates welcome * Experience with Cat5/Cat6 cabling, fiber splicing, or telecom installation preferred * Ability to use hand tools and read blueprints * Reliable, coachable, and safety-conscious * *Must pass drug test and BGC * * Steel-toe shoes required on Day 1 (basic hand tools are a plus) *Schedule* * Monday-Friday, 7 AM-7 PM * Overtime possible (10-12 hour days, 6 days/week if needed) *Why This Role?* * Gain valuable experience in the telecom trade * Opportunity for career growth and promotion * Competitive pay and benefits * Work on a high-profile data center project *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract position based out of Altoona, IA. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
