Lead Security Technician Location: Richmond, VA About the Role: We are seeking a Lead Technician or Level 2 Technician who can work independently and is eager to enhance their leadership skills through training. This role involves leading projects for the installation, configuration, and testing of enterprise security systems with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities: * Lead project teams on installations of enterprise security systems. * Install, terminate, configure, and test systems including CCTV, access control, IP cameras, intrusion systems, video analytics, IP networks, and visitor management. * Organize and manage workload efficiently. * Interact professionally with customers and provide general project supervision. * Ensure quality control and deliver exceptional customer service. * Track and report project progress. Required Skills & Experience: * Minimum 3 years of experience installing, servicing, and programming commercial access control, IP-based video, and intrusion systems. * Minimum 3 years of experience as a project lead responsible for supervision. * Strong communication and organizational skills. * Ability to support customer systems via remote diagnostics. * Practical experience with IP networks. * Ability to work independently. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have): * Troubleshooting and service experience. * Alarm systems knowledge. Certifications (Preferred but not required): * Access Control: Pro-Watch, Genetec, Software House, Lenel/S2, OpenPath. * Video: Axis, Exacq, Milestone, MaxPro, Genetec, Victor, Avigilon, Hanwha. * Locking Hardware: ASSA ABLOY, Von Duprin, Adams Rite. * Intrusion: Vista, DSC, Bosch, DMP. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
