Position Summary:

The Center on Causal Data Science for Child Maltreatment Prevention (the CHAMP Center), a Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child and Human Development (NICHD) funded Capstone research center, develops high-quality Decision Support Tools that guide personalized decisions to reduce children's risk of maltreatment exposure and its related health and mental health consequences, as well as conducts field trials to assess the impact and safety of these tools.

The CHAMP Center is currently seeking a Research Coordinator at the NYU Langone Health Department of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry to coordinate a proof-of-concept field trial of a decision support tool for at-risk families with young children to prevent children's exposure to maltreatment.

Job Responsibilities:

Coordinate a field trial of a Decision Support Tool

Schedule and facilitate team meetings

Oversee construction and maintenance of project database in REDCap

Maintain standard operating procedures

Support regulatory compliance including with Institutional Review Board, Data Safety and Monitoring Board, and project funder.

Implement protocol to recruit participants and screen for eligibility

Obtain participant consent and schedule assessments

Oversee participant compensation

Refine and implement tracking protocols to maintain retention rates

Coordinate data collection with study staff and clinical team

Monitor participant enrollment and retention and prepare reports as needed

Support preparation of reports for funders and community partners

Perform other research-related activities as required

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelor's degree in life sciences, allied health or equivalent in a related discipline and 0-1 years experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Effective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills. Must be able to work under the direction of supervision. Ability to operate research related equipment. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as World, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook. Familiar with Internet applications. Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems. Time management skills and ability to work well under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in public health, social work, psychology, or other social/behavioral science discipline required

Excellent communicator - demonstrated interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills to effectively communicate, collaborate, establish and maintain good working relationships with a diverse group of multi-disciplinary researchers, staff, and partners

Experience with the conduct of research, including skills such as participant tracking, qualitative and/or quantitative data collection, analysis, and regulatory compliance

Excellent organizational skills

Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software applications such as SPSS, Atlas.ti, REDCap

Must have a high level of attention to detail, flexibility, ability to work on a team, and punctuality

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $64,350.00 - $64,350.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
