Security Officer - First Shift

As a Security Officer - Auto Patrol Guarding in Normal, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at an automotive location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing exceptional customer service. Your visible presence and attention to detail will contribute to a secure environment for all. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the automotive facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, observations, and incidents during patrols.
• Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and employees to provide assistance and information as needed.
• Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support a secure environment at the automotive location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
