Job Description




As a Security Officer - Chemical Facility Gate in Point Comfort, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional in an access control role at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entrances and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Control access to the location by verifying identification and credentials of personnel, visitors, and contractors entering the premises.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity within the chemical and petrochemical environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the site and its perimeter to observe for any irregularities or security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to access control, including documenting all access control activities and reporting any unusual occurrences to Allied Universal management.
  • Provide customer service by assisting individuals with inquiries and directions while maintaining a professional presence at all times.
  • Support emergency response activities as required, including coordinating with site personnel and Allied Universal as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Transportation Security Administration issued Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) is required.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
