Successful candidates will bring proven experience in strategic procurement and thrive in a collaborative, analytical environment.

Essential Functions

  • Establish and monitor supplier performance metrics and benefits tracking to demonstrate the ongoing value of procurement initiatives.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships to influence behaviors and ensure Procurement is appropriately engaged in all relevant sourcing activities.
  • Support strategic savings projects-including RFPs, RFIs, and direct negotiations-under the guidance of department leadership.
  • Analyze, consolidate, and rationalize historical spend data within assigned categories to inform sourcing strategies.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on strategic procurement procedures for your categories and act as the primary resource for internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver clear communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed of key procurement activities and outcomes.
  • Assist in preparing category-level forecasts and financial performance reports to support planning and decision-making.
  • Implement robust Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) processes, ensuring governance, metrics, and continuous improvement actions are in place.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with 0-2 years of related professional experience preferred; OR equivalent experience in procurement or finance-related activities may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong aptitude for data analytics tools and methodologies; comfortable working with raw datasets.
  • Technical Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Power Pivot, VLOOKUP, complex formulas); experience with business analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent listening skills with the ability to focus on issues critical to stakeholders; proven ability to work independently while contributing to team objectives.
  • Critical Thinking: Sharp, detail-oriented thinker with a proactive and tenacious approach to problem-solving.
  • Customer Focus: Strong commitment to meeting and exceeding stakeholder expectations.
  • Procurement Knowledge: Familiarity with contracts and contract negotiation processes.
  • Reporting & Presentation: Ability to prepare detailed, error-free analyses and present findings clearly and concisely.
  • Industry Experience: Exposure to the construction industry is advantageous.
