Come join the fast-growing Building Engineering Services Group at HDR. The Building Engineering Services Group (BES) provides industry leading mechanical, electrical, plumbing, site civil, structural, and specialty design services for a wide variety of buildings that include public, municipal, private, and government project types. Projects are a balance of local as well as across the region and the globe. With a team of experienced staff in specific market areas such as Healthcare, Datacenters, Science and Technology, Commercial Real Estate, Finance, Hospitality, Industrial, Municipal, Manufacturing, Transportation, and Federal facilities; we provide engineering excellence for our clients.

We are searching for Digital Delivery Team Lead at our global headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska.

In the role of Digital Delivery Team Lead, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist with the management and culture of the overall project model management team by being the direct supervisor of a team of project digital delivery staff (model managers) with varying degrees of experience
  • Work collaboratively with Project Managers for work staffing and project proposals
  • Provide team leadership with a focus on technical excellence, quality, recruiting, mentoring, and staff development
  • Collaborate closely with market sector leadership to ensure technical excellence in all key markets including commercial, civic, industrial, federal, water, transportation, healthcare, education and laboratories and mission critical facilities
  • Function as project model manager lead for key projects
  • Execute all project model management requirements identified on a project
  • Oversee and contribute to the development and maintenance of the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP)
  • Generate and maintain model setup including project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, scope boundaries, match-lines, views, sheets, and general models, to accommodate the disciplines and project requirements
  • Communicate, coordinate, and compile all project digital deliverables and exchange process at predetermined milestones
  • Implement, monitor, and support company policy and digital delivery standards
  • Works collaboratively with other team leads, project managers, business class digital design leads, and technical directors
  • Actively encourage and participate in work-sharing and digital practice development with the HDR Digital Business Class
  • Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experienced in development and management of diverse teams
  • Advanced skillset of 3D design software and document management infrastructure
  • Advanced skillset of 3D Coordination tools
  • Familiar with 3D design software add-ins and supporting applications
  • Technical degree or a combination of education and related industry experience
  • Superior client service, communication, and presentation skills are essential
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively serve as a first line of technical support
  • Committed to quality, improvement, and HDR
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
  • Excellent leadership and organization skills
  • Preference given to local candidates.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 7 years experience
  • Professional registration, license or certification may be required based on role
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments
  • Good leadership and organizational skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
