Reporting and Analytics Senior Analyst

The Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC) invites applications for a Reporting and Analytics Senior Analyst position in the Population Health and Quality Improvement Analytics section. A successful applicant will engage in applied health services and population health research in a project-based, team setting.

Reporting and Analytics Senior Analysts primarily perform technical tasks, and in some cases contribute toprojectleadershipand administration. They are expected to complete work independently on tasks with moderate complexity while assisting or completing advanced complexity tasks with appropriate assistance and oversight. They may work on 2-4 projects at a time.

Typical responsibilities are project-specific and may include combinations of the following: leads or assists with the development of and provides technical assistance for the development and coding of quality measures; processes, cleans, and reviews Electronic Health Record (EHR) data received from clinical sites participating in quality improvement collaboratives; analyzes data including developing quantitative reports and visualizations with aggregated results of quality or population health metrics; composes technical reports, manuals, and presentation materials; presents results in clear format to non-technical audiences; reviews work products from subcontractors; conducts literature searches and literature reviews; assists with institutional review board (IRB) applications and other data governance requests; designs and executes linkage strategies for connecting administrative datasets. Select projects may also require Research and Analytics Senior Analysts to work with data dashboards and address data quality issues.

Minimum Education Required:

Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent is required.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with a bachelors degree or 2 years of relevant experience with an advanced degree in a relevant field of study is required. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.

Additional Desired Qualifications:

Demonstrated usage of R, SAS, or SQL for data preparation and analysis. R coding experience is preferred. Experience processing and analyzing electronic health record data. Experience in quality improvement or population health research.
