Summary:

The Senior Contract Administrator supports the Company's Midstream and Commercial operations by assisting with the review, negotiation, execution, and administration of commercial agreements related to petroleum storage, fuel supply, and trading activities. This role operates primarily under Company-approved templates, guidelines, and supervision, and works closely with commercial, operations, and legal teams to ensure contracts accurately reflect approved terms and are properly executed.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting a variety of commercial contracts and is comfortable managing contract workflows, reviewing third-party contract forms, and coordinating execution in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

In conjunction with attorneys and business managers, review and assist in the negotiation and administration of commercial agreements, primarily using Company-approved templates and standard terms, and review third-party contract forms to identify and escalate deviations from Company standard language, including:

  • Terminal storage and throughput agreements

  • Fuel supply and offtake agreements

  • General Terms & Conditions for sale of refined products

2. Coordinate contract drafting, revisions, and redlines with internal stakeholders and counterparties.

3. Identify non-standard terms and escalate legal or commercial risk issues to the appropriate business manager or Legal team.

4. Track contract status, approvals, and execution.

5. Maintain organized and accurate contract files, including executed agreements and amendments.

6. Assist with amendments, assignments, and other contract updates.

7. Support post-execution contract administration, including interpretation support and issue tracking.

8. Assist with the maintenance and use of contract templates, clause libraries, and standard forms.

9. Respond to internal requests related to contract terms and documentation.

Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Bachelor's degree required (Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal Studies, Engineering or related field preferred).

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

* * Minimum of five (5) years of experience in contract administration or commercial contract support.

* Experience reviewing commercial agreements and supporting negotiations, including the ability to identify non-standard terms and support resolution of contract issues.

* Familiarity with service-based contracts.

* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

* Ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities simultaneously.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in the energy, midstream, petroleum storage, fuel supply, or commodities trading sectors.

* Experience working with trading or commercial teams.

* Familiarity with contract management systems.

* Familiarity with logistics and maritime contracts

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
