Location: Sunnyvale.

Education Recommendations
Currently a candidate for a Master's, or PhD (i.e., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, etc.) or a related field with an accredited school in US.

As Part of the Team You Will:

  • Take part in the research leading up to Wi-Fi 9.
  • Take part in brainstorming on shortcomings of previous Wi-Fi generations, the KPIs that we should aim for and the new features which will get Wi-Fi 9 closer to meet these KPIs.
  • Wi-Fi research comprises fundamental systematic research of exploratory nature for the development of next generation Wi-Fi technology, disrupting and superseding conventional approaches.
  • Brainstorm and develop innovative MAC and PHY concepts for IEEE 802.11bn (Wi-Fi 8) and present these concepts to your team members.
  • Research concepts and technologies for IEEE 802.11bn (Wi-Fi 8) and evaluate these concepts.
  • Prepare contributions to IEEE 802.11bn.

You're a great fit if you have:

  • Strong wireless communications background (MAC and/or PHY).
  • Some exposure to IEEE 802.11be or IEEE 802.11bn is a plus.
  • Strong C++ and Python programming skills.
  • You like working in teams and have strong communication skills.

It Would Be Nice If You Also Had:

  • Deep knowledge of Wi-Fi.
  • AI/ML expertise.
  • Experience with wireless link or system simulations.
