Job Summary
The Medical Device Assembler (Entry Level) is responsible for assembling, repairing, and testing high-quality medical devices such as pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related assemblies. Working under close supervision, this role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and active participation in continuous improvement initiatives within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities


  • Perform assembly, repair, and testing operations according to standardized procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records for travelers and quality documents to ensure traceability of all parts.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding issues, ideas, and solutions.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices at all times.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to enhance production processes.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and managers to set and monitor individual and cell performance metrics.
  • Support divisional initiatives aligned with Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
  • Prioritize work based on sequencing and importance of tasks.
  • Handle and maneuver small components and parts with care.
  • Make critical decisions and judgments with minimal supervision.
  • Utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software as required.


Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a highly regulated environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work under supervision while maintaining high standards of quality.


Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.


Work Experience

  • Entry-level; prior experience in assembly or manufacturing is a plus but not required.
