U.S. Marine Management, LLC (USMMI) is providing support to the U.S. Army Pre-Positioned Stock Four (APS-4) Watercraft/Modular Causeway System (MCS) Care Of Supplies In Storage (COSIS), Exercise and Maintenance program located at the Watercraft Equipment Base - Yokohama North Dock (WEB-YND) in Yokohama, Japan, in order to support Military and Humanitarian actions worldwide. Position Description Purpose/Summary: The Production Control Supervisor is directly responsible to the COSIS General Manager to oversee the day-to-day scheduling and operations for the COSIS mission. The Production Control Supervisor is responsible for providing guidance and scheduling requirements to the Maintenance Supervisor - COSIS, MCS/Deck Quality Control Supervisor, Watercraft Quality Control Supervisor, Production Control Analyst, Vessel Master, Government Furnished Equipment Supervisor and the Senior Supply Chain Supervisor responsible for Warehouse Operations in their daily tasks. This individual will also provide supervision over Safety, Environmental and HAZMAT operations, and interface with subcontractors ensuring contract requirements and deliverables are met on time and performed to the standard. The Production Control Supervisor will ensure COSIS personnel adherence to all applicable regulations and technical requirements in performing operational tasks on all pieces of equipment, both Watercraft and MCS and will provide the overall teams with technical guidance ensuring those prescribed standards within applicable Technical Manuals (TM's), Army Regulations (AR's), Field Manuals (FM's), Technical Bulletins (TB's), and Safety of Use Messages (SOUM's) are strictly adhered to. Physical Demands & Work Environment The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Typically, the employee will be required to split time between a general office setting and working on board U.S. Army Class A, B and C watercraft and Modular Causeway Systems, performing sea trials, dock trials and vessel equipment maintenance and operational checks. Vessel work will require employees to wear hearing protection due to high noise decibels. Vessel climates change with the seasons and the employee may be in varying temperatures requiring various protective clothing. Employees will be required to work outside on vessels performing checks and repairs, which may be during inclement weather, requiring the wear of rain gear and safety items. In the office setting the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work, usually at a computer terminal - with short breaks or lunch period. Day-to-day requirements will require some bending/stooping, reaching above shoulder level, walking; standing; carrying of light items such as parts, equipment, papers, books or packages of up to 25 pounds. You should be able to hear & speak clearly using phone / headset to communicate with customers; be able to navigate, view & enter information on the computer. | |
