Per Diem Clinical Assistant - Waltham Operating Room

• We are seeking a Per Diem Clinical Assistant to join the team within our Waltham Operating Room.

• Following established procedures and instructions under regular supervision, and providing basic direct care to patients as delegated by a Registered Nurse.
• Assisting the operating room team with equipment, supplies, and instruments.
• Working with RN and Surgical Scrub techs to set up and break down procedures in the OR.
• Assisting with positioning and positioning equipment in the OR as needed
• Transporting lab and pathology specimens to the lab daily.
• Gathering kits, equipment, disposable supplies and packs for each OR procedure
• Assisting the team and securing other needed supplies for procedures as needed
• Assisting with moving and transporting patients.
• Working 8- and 10-hour day shifts.

• A High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• 1 year Clinical Assistant experience, or a Nursing Student with at least one clinical rotation completed preferred.

• CNA certification or equivalent preferred.

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
