We are looking for a Design Manager tomanage the engineering scope, schedule, and budget for greenfield, brownfield andretrofitengineering / designprojects. This position will manage internal and external resources for the delivery of the Datacenter building, power, cooling, telecom, and controls infrastructure to align with Microsoft Corporation datacenter capacity roadmap for the Americas. The DatacenterDesign Managerwill be responsible for thefacilitation and deliveryof Microsoft's industry-leading datacenterdesigns including the development of innovative technology and advanced concepts from Site Due Diligence through design development,permitting,construction, and the turnover toOperations. This role will provide design management, technical direction, decision-making and overall leadershipfor our datacenter designs. To be successful in this role the candidate will overseethedelivery ofmultiple, concurrent,completeDatacenter designsolutionsaligned with the scopes, schedules,and budgetsof the projects. TheDesignManagerwill engage with key MS stakeholder groups withinMicrosoftas well as outside vendorswhospecialize in datacenter architecture and engineering. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
