Role Snapshot The Accountant position provides critical support to management by tracking and analyzing financial activities, including expenses, revenues, costs, and statistical data, to inform decision-making. This role involves generating reports, conducting cost/benefit analysis, and facilitating meetings as required. The Accountant serves as a key liaison between financial operations and various departments within the company, ensuring accurate allocation of costs across lines of business. The role may assist in the preparation of the annual budget and supports financial planning efforts to optimize business performance. Salary Range $60,000 - $70,000 The base pay offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hybrid Work Location Our first consideration will be to have this new employee live in the Greater Madison, WI area to take advantage of Hybrid work and collaboration. Employees living within 45 miles of WPS Headquarters (1717 W. Broadway in Madison, WI) will be expected to be able to work in the office 2 days a week. Secondary priority will be given to remote candidates in WI, IL, MN, or IA. In this role you will:
