FTE: 1.0, Shift: Days, Schedule: 8 hour days x 5 days/week 0900-1730

Position Summary

The Surgery Turnover Team Tech is responsible for the AM clean/wipe down of the ORs, preparation of the O.R. suite and equipment prior to surgeries, assisting the O.R. staff during surgeries/procedures, coordination of all supplies and equipment, cleaning the OR suite after cases, assisting in a rapid and efficient turnover between cases, and discarding the trash after case completion. Responsible for terminal cleaning at end of day. This position is a team member requiring a cooperative manner, working under the direction of a Registered Nurse or designee.

Responsibilities

  • Provides overall technical support to the surgery department, ensuring fast turnaround time, accuracy, and completeness of work.
  • Identifies, develops, and implement improvements to continuously meet the needs of the department.
  • Assists in parts inventory, setup, and delivery of equipment to OR for room set up implements new systems and procedures to ensure overall service effectiveness.
  • Cleans and completes room turn-overs in keeping with unit policy and procedures and regulatory standards.
  • Transports patients to and from the surgery department while assisting nursing personnel.
  • Prepares the O.R. suite for surgeries/procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One year of post high school vocational training in a related health care field, such as Anesthesia Technician, CS Technician, NA, HCA, EMT, or Hospital Corpsman
  • Current BLS certification within 7 days of placement in job

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $21.53 - $32.76 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
