SSummary: This position is responsible for operating and maintaining, modifying and performing routine and emergency repairs on all electrical/electronics and associated mechanical equipment in assigned area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Takes immediate measures in emergency situations to protect the safety of the public and the company's assets. * Performs physical labor related to maintenance of large pumps, motors, and valves. * Follows established procedures for lock-out/tag-out to assure safety. * Maintains, make repairs to and operate equipment for pump stations, pipeline control centers, product terminals and related facilities. * Assist with the operation and evaluation of cathodic protection systems. * Assists in the construction and modification of facilities. * Informs and enforces company rules and regulations on outside pipeline companies and contractors. * Works weekends and respond to 24-hour on call. * Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations. Reduces potential risk to public safety and environment and minimizes company liability. Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree or graduate of a technical school preferred. Minimum Requirements: * 0 - 5 years of related experience. * One year of related experience preferred. * Knowledge of systems including: Allen Bradley equipment, Omni flow computers, John Zinc systems, Factory Talk software, Siemens equipment and Systronics systems preferred * Motor Operated Valve (MOV) calibration and repair experience preferred * Tubing and fitting installation and repair experience preferred * Calibration and repair of temperature, level, pressure, meter and prover instrumentation experience preferred * Has working knowledge of medium and low voltage systems. (480VAC) High power system experience is advantageous * Valid driver's license and clean driving history required. * Eligibility to acquire/hold a valid TWIC card required. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Excellent PC skills, with proficiency in Microsoft products * Strong attention to detail, with the ability to independently proof work for accuracy * Ability to be alert and drive excessive miles daily * Ability to manage time and scheduling to meet appropriate deadlines * Ability to work successfully in stressful situations and manage multiple tasks * Ability to use awareness of relationships and impacts of data trends and elements to appropriately recommend actions that impact both near and long-term company operations and profits * Ability to independently conduct job accountabilities * Ability to take directions from supervisors * Ability to work independently with limited supervision * Ability to plan activities with a weekly to monthly time horizon required Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
