Job Description:

The Facilities Mechanical Technician is a senior-level specialist responsible for the reliable operation, maintenance, and improvement of mechanical utility systems that enable semiconductor fab operations. This includes HVAC, chillers, boilers, process cooling water (PCW), ultrapure water (UPW), exhaust/make-up air systems, and vacuum and compressed gas distribution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead advanced troubleshooting and daily operations of central plant and cleanroom mechanical systems.

  • Oversee HVAC, chillers, boilers, pumps, heat exchangers, cooling towers, general exhaust systems, scrubbers, PCW, P-VAC,CDA, and cleanroom environmental systems.

  • Support operation of mechanical utilities including CDA/N2/Ar, vacuum, and UPW interfaces.

  • Diagnose complex mechanical and controls issues; perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

  • Improve preventive and predictive maintenance programs with vibration analysis, thermography, and precision maintenance.

  • Plan and execute system outages, tie-ins, retrofits, and commissioning activities.

  • Ensure compliance with cleanroom standards, safety regulations, and EHS protocols (LOTO, arc flash, confined space, etc.).

  • Mentor junior technicians and serve as subject matter expert.
