The Christman Company is looking for a Regional Safety Manager in our DC Metro region. The position will offer an opportunity to provide leadership and expertise in the field of safety to Project Safety Managers and project teams. As a valued team leader this role ensures the safety and well-being of our project teams across multiple construction sites. While visiting multiple sites per day, you will provide guidance and support for to project teams to identify and plan avoidance of hazards to achieve zero incidents. You will develop and implement safety policies, conduct inspections, and investigate incidents to maintain compliance with regulations. Job site training on safety procedures is a priority while managing risk assessments and collaborating with various project teams to promote our culture of safety. Work Environment and Physical Demands: The majority of work is completed outside at the construction site and in an office trailer where the project is monitored, and daily decisions are made about construction activities. The position is often exposed to sounds and loud noises, such as construction equipment. The job requires the wearing of protective equipment when on the construction site (hardhats, safety glasses, and highly visible clothing).
