Lubbock Department Intern 43460BR Museum Position Description Performs work to assist in the organization and implementation of projects and programs. Responsibilities include activities which require knowledge of departmental procedures. Employee performance is based upon a review of completed work and overall results obtained. About the Department and/or College The Anthropology Division portion of the internship focuses on the care, management, and preparation for exhibition of lithic objects from the Archaeological Collection and textiles from the Ethnology Collection. The Intern may also assist with the identification and resolution of found-in-collections objects in both collections, and with inventory issue resolution. The Intern is expected to be knowledgeable in collections management, the ethics, legal issues, and best practices in governing anthropological collections. Major/Essential Functions
