NCCU graduate student in good standing.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Perform administrative duties for the Division of Research and Economic Development. These responsibilites and duties include, but are not limited to the following: (1) Gathers readily available information from office records to draft e-mails, memos and other documents; (2) Uses a variety of office equipment information systems (e.g. telephone, computer with standard software, fax, copier, etc.) to access, input, and verify standard information; (3) Coordinates tasks and establishes priorities in response to work flow of the office or work unit; and, (4) Understands general operation of functional unit, to include knowledge of staff and program responsibilities. Serve as Co-Coordinator to the NCCU IRB. Responsibilities and duties in this role include: screening submissions prior to ensure forms have been completed appropriately; prepare minutes/activity reports for IRB meetings; draft approved correspondence to investigators; manage the flow of information (including opening and sorting mail, email, answering and referring telephone calls; and other duties requested by the IRB Chair and Director of Research Compliance.

Primary Purpose of Position
Key responsibilities include supporting enhancements to the university's research portal website, assisting with the implementation and tracking of a pilot research funding program, and contributing to initiatives that strengthen research capacity, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and increase student engagement in research across campus. The Graduate Research Assistant will work closely with DRSP staff and faculty stakeholders to organize information, develop communication materials, support data collection and reporting, and assist with outreach and coordination efforts
