Day & Zimmermann is seeking Timekeepers for temporary positions.
We currently have two openings - one dayshift and one nightshift. Shifts are 12 hours, 6-7 days per week. Overtime paid at time and half over 40 hours. Positions are onsite at Watts Bar Nuclear Plant. Duration is expected to run from March - April. Position Summary The Timekeeper supports project operations by ensuring accurate recording, tracking, and reporting of all craft labor hours and related payroll data. This role plays a critical part in maintaining compliance with union agreements, company policies, and project reporting requirements. The Timekeeper works closely with craft supervision, project controls, and administrative teams to verify work hours, resolve discrepancies, and maintain precise documentation for large, complex power plant projects (nuclear, fossil, hydro, and gas). Key Responsibilities
Experience/Preferred Skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting. Prior experience in timekeeping, payroll, or administrative support within power plant, heavy industrial, or construction projects strongly preferred. Experience working in a union craft environment highly desirable. Working knowledge of union labor agreements and craft payroll practices. Proficiency with project management systems (e.g., Procore, SAP, Costpoint, or equivalent) and Microsoft Excel. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle high-volume data under tight deadlines. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with craft, supervision, and project management. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. Education High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in business administration, accounting, or related field preferred. In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the salary range for this role is $22,000 - $95,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
