Responsibilities:

The Registered Nurse (RN) working in Cardiac Critical Care is responsible for providing advanced care to critically ill patients with complex cardiac conditions. The ideal candidate is a dedicated professional with a passion for excellence, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to thrive under pressure.

Key responsibilities:

* Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with acute cardiac conditions, including post-surgical recovery, heart failure, myocardial infarctions, and arrhythmias.
* Monitor and manage patients requiring advanced therapies such as hemodynamic monitoring, ventilators, ECMO, and intra-aortic balloon pumps.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to develop and implement individualized care plans.
* Administer medications, perform advanced cardiac assessments, and intervene in life-threatening emergencies.
* Educate patients and families about their condition, treatments, and post-discharge care.
* Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.

Qualifications:

* Associate Degree in Nursing
* State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
* BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire
