Trident Seafoods is the largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company in North America. Species harvested and processed by Trident include virtually every commercial species of salmon, whitefish, and crab harvested in the North Pacific and Alaska. The global supply chain also includes cultured and wild species from a network of trusted sources worldwide.

Summary:The Capital Expenditure (CapEx) Director leads the strategic planning, execution, and oversight of capital projects across a defined division or business unit. This role ensures that all capital investments align with organizational goals, are delivered on time and within budget, and meet quality and compliance standards. The director serves as the key liaison between executive leadership, project teams, and external stakeholders.

EssentialFunctions:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement divisional capital investment strategies aligned with corporateobjectives.
  • Lead long-term planning for infrastructure, facilities, and asset development.

Project Oversight

  • Manage the full lifecycle of capital projects-from initiation to completion.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation for all divisional capital initiatives.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and risk mitigation across all projects.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate with internal departments, external partners, and executive leadership.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders and board members.

Team Management

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams including project managers, engineers, financial analysts, and contractors.
  • Regularly workonsite to buildstrong teamconnections, collaborate across functions, and solve problems in real time.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Performance & Reporting

  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics for capital projects.
  • Provide regular reporting on project progress, financials, and strategic impact.

This is a salaried exempt position with an annualized salary range of $163,000 to $207,000.

Minimum Requirements

RequiredQualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture,Financeor Business Administration.
  • 10+ years of experience in capital project management, infrastructure development, or related fields OR at least 8 years of related experience with aMaster'sor postgraduate degree.
  • Proven leadership in managing large-scale, high-value projects.
  • At least 8 years of leadership experience.

PreferredEducation & Experiences:

  • Master's or MBA preferred.
  • Certifications such as PMP, Six Sigma, or Lean Management are a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities(KSAs):

  • Strong financial acumen and experience with CapitalExpenditureplanning.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration and change management.
  • Capital expenditure experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic thinking and long-term planning.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.

Work environment:

This is an on-site position based at the Trident Support Center office in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.

In-office time takes place in a typical office environment: temperature controlled with adequate lighting and moderate noise. While remote, employees must provide appropriate home office space.
