Position Overview PSI is seeking a Personnel Security Specialist (PSS) - Intake Lead to support personnel security suitability intake tasks in support of the DHS Federal Protective Service (FPS), Personnel Security Division (PSD). This role serves as a lead for intake operations, supporting case coordination, quality assurance, performance monitoring, and team training. Key Responsibilities Point of Contact: Serve as the primary contact for case-related inquiries from contractors and stakeholders; escalate unresolved issues to Key Personnel as appropriate Training & Development: Facilitate on-the-job training (OJT) for new hires and provide refresher training as needed; conduct orientation sessions for team members Case Management: Monitor and assist with case assignments and resolve intake issues to support team performance; some case assignment responsibilities may apply Quality Assurance: Conduct monthly quality control checks to ensure compliance and maintain high-quality deliverables Performance Monitoring: Partner with the Program Manager to track performance metrics, implement quality measures, and support employee evaluation processes Staff Coordination: Approve timesheets, manage leave requests, and support recruiting activities including candidate interviews Conflict Resolution: Assist with resolving complaints and support disciplinary processes when necessary Qualifications Education: Associate's degree or equivalent required Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a leadership role with at least 3 years of relevant experience in security or intelligence fields (technical, physical, or operational security) Skills & Knowledge: Strong knowledge of personnel security principles and government contracting regulations Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Subject matter expertise in one or more security and/or intelligence disciplines preferred Experience implementing complex government security and/or intelligence programs and policies preferred EEO Statement We are an equal opportunity employer.
