GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES (not all-inclusive): This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered heavy equipment used in port operations - including top loaders, forklifts, and other specialized machinery, as required. Professional customer service demeanor while on the job is a must. Employees are required to express leadership qualities and maintain an excellent physical condition. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to stand; walk; use hands, handle, or feel; bending and kneeling, and reach with hands and arms. Required to lift-up to 60 lbs. on an intermittent basis. Employees are required to work in physically demanding weather conditions such as extreme heat. WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position will perform their duties outdoors exposed to changing environmental conditions. Employees are expected to work in stormy weather excluding lightning, extreme heat, and below freezing temperatures.
