Summary/Objective:

This position will supervise and coordinate activities of Warehouse Associates and Department Leads engaged in all forms of warehouse activity. This position will report to directly to the Warehouse Manager.

Essential Functions

  1. Oversee Department Leads and assist with overall warehouse responsibilities within assigned shift
  2. Assist with warehouse staffing including the hiring and termination processing
  3. Responsible for monitoring budgeted expenses
  4. Assure each department within the shift has the direction needed to complete daily tasks
  5. Work with Department Leads and Warehouse Associates to resolve any issues or conflicts
  6. Oversee all warehouse operations in absence of Warehouse Manager
  7. Responsible for the overall operation of the warehouse and will report all activity to the Warehouse Manager
  8. Follow all safety rules and company policies and ensure that all personnel in the department adhere to the rules

  1. Perform other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily working indoors, office environment.
  • May sit for several hours at a time.
  • Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
  • Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.

Qualifications:

  1. Work Experience: 3 years of experience in shipping in a manufacturing environment and 2 years' experience in a Lead Role.
  2. Education: High School Diploma
  3. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills necessary
  4. Organization Skills: Maintain clean and organized work space
  5. Cross-functional Skills: Ability to work and handle multiple job assignments
  6. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate within a team setting
  7. Physical, Mental and Visual Skills: Ability to walk, stand, sit, push, pull, reach above shoulders, fine repetitive motion, bend, stoop, climb ladder, ability to lift 50 pounds continuously for long periods of time up to 8 hours per day
  8. Physical Environment: Fast-paced manufacturing environment

Supervisory Responsibility:

This role will oversee an operational function within Warehouse facility.

Physical Demands:

Fast-paced manufacturing environment, ability to tolerate a variable climate; occasionally lifting 30-75 pounds

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time salary position, and hours/days of work are decided by production schedules and reporting manager.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  1. Education: 2-year degree in manufacturing-related field

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
