Customer-facing, you will have great business acumen, making judicious decisions to achieve customer satisfaction while successfully executing your programs. In this role, you will lead highly diverse cross functional teams composed of contracts, program planning, finance, operations, and engineering, to develop next-generation mission critical display solutions. You will be a part of the Displays & Networking (D&N) Line of Business, a leading provider of safety-certifiable avionics and mission-critical display solutions located in Gulf Breeze, FL. Products and solutions include smart, rugged, interactive, high-definition display technology optimized for the low-light, multi-angle viewing requirements of cockpits and armored vehicles. Length of training and learning objectives: Structured for a 12-week SkillBridge Internship. The official onboarding, training and instruction period of business practices curriculum, operational and regulatory policies, as well as product offerings will constitute the first portion of your internship (weeks 1-4). The remaining majority (weeks 5-11) will be implementation of your training, acting as a more autonomous intern in preparation for taking on your role as a civilian employee. The final week (week 12) will constitute a wrap-up of your internship. Each week is a 40-hour work and each day contains a 1-hour lunch break. During this internship, your training will include instruction and review of all Mercury Systems' product and service offerings and capabilities, and preparation to be able to represent Mercury Systems knowledgeably and professionally in your workplace endeavors. These instructions will be in addition to your direct training and instruction regarding your Principal Program Manager fellowship responsibilities. Internship Onboarding & Training (Weeks 1 - 2): Instructional mode will be a combination of in-person classroom style instruction and walk-through demonstrations with your supervisor and other temporary mentors as assigned. Additionally, Mercury Systems will provide a learning environment for familiarizing yourself with company and regulatory compliance standards as well as business best practices to ensure successful task and project endeavors taken on throughout your internship. This will be completed through discussions with your supervisor and other department management, in-person classroom style instruction and demonstrations of these standards and practices. As your services and product offering knowledge develops, you will become better able to perform the duties of a Principal Program Manager. These responsibilities will broaden your current skillset across a spectrum of business development and operational requirements, which will include:
All your training and instruction will continue to be built-upon and emphasized throughout the remainder of your internship as you grow in responsibility and capability.
