Vaco is hiring for a Director of FP&A opportunity in downtown Cleveland.
Direct Hire, Onsite
Salary: $140-190,000/yr + Bonus

Job Summary:
The Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will lead the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis functions for the firm. This role is responsible for providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making, improve profitability, and ensure long-term financial health. The Director of FP&A will work closely with the CFO and key stakeholders across the firm to provide strategic financial insights that support informed decision-making.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage annual budgets, long-range financial plans, rolling forecasts, and capacity models aligned with the firm's strategic objectives.
  • Provide in-depth analysis of revenue, expenses, and profitability by practice area and for the firm; identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations related to pricing new business for the firm.
  • Prepare and deliver regular financial reports and insights to firm leadership, including analysis of trends, variances, and key performance indicators to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with practice group leaders and department heads to support financial decision-making and improve operational efficiency.
  • Implement best practices in financial modeling, reporting, and analytics. Drive automation and efficiency in FP&A processes.
  • Take ownership of complex financial projects and initiatives from start to finish. Lead cross-functional efforts to improve financial performance, ensuring alignment with firm goals and timely execution of deliverables.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, with at least 3 years in a leadership or senior-level role.
  • Prior experience in an entrepreneurial environment strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in a professional services environment (law firm experience strongly preferred).
  • Strong analytical, modeling, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools (e.g., Excel, BI tools, ERP systems).
  • Team-oriented.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong project leadership and execution skills.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
