POSITION MISSION
The Revenue Accountant is an experienced execution-focused role responsible for ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of daily and monthly revenue accounting activities including point-of-sale (POS), catering, and F&L transactions. This position serves as a critical bridge between junior accounting staff and senior team members by reviewing work, resolving complex issues, and supporting scalable reconciliation processes. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and collaboration across accounting and operations teams. This position will own the quality of daily revenue execution while supporting escalations, process improvements, and coverage needs across the revenue accounting function. While the role executes and supports key accounting functions, final accounting judgments remain with senior management.

Annual bonus: 10%

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
* Review daily reconciliations prepared by junior accounting staff to ensure accuracy and completeness.
* Perform complex or escalated daily POS reconciliations.
* Investigate, analyze, and resolve non-routine revenue discrepancies.
* Provide guidance and feedback to junior staff on reconciliation quality and issue resolution.
* Prepare standard revenue journal entries and accruals.
* Reconcile POS revenue and related clearing accounts monthly.
* Support monthly close activities and provide coverage during peak close periods or team absences.
* Revenue Reporting & Reconciliations.
* Support and assist in the Accounts Receivable process for Catering customers, including invoicing, cash application, credits, and refunds.
* Perform pre-review reconciliations of franchise and licensing sales reports.
* Support Store Value Card and Loyalty program reconciliations.
* Assist with identifying trends or recurring issues impacting revenue accuracy.
* Process Improvement & Audit Support.
* Maintain, enhance, and standardize reconciliation templates and processes.
* Prepare audit support schedules and documentation as requested.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and control.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
* Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial controls.
* Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite experience a plus) and Microsoft Excel.
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
* Effective communication and critical thinking skills are important.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
* Experience reconciling POS systems (e.g., Toast, NCR, Aloha) to accounting systems.
* Food and beverage industry experience.
* Familiarity with automated reconciliation tools (e.g., ReconNet, FloQast).

EDUCATION - TRAINING - EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
* 3-5+ years of accounting or reconciliation experience, preferably in a multi-location or high-transaction environment.
* Strong understanding of reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications required.
* Experience working with high-volume transactional data.
