Astrion has an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Technician I

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• 1 year of applicable experience in engineering technical work that developed skills in making measurements using test instruments and computing
• Must be flexible in adapting to deadlines, changing schedules, competing priorities, and unpredictable events
• Thorough, detail oriented, and organized, with excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at once
• Superb verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated and independent thinker with out-of-the-box ideas
• Leadership skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• Demonstrated proficiency with management of tactical and strategic communications, marketing, and development of work products
• Exceptional customer relationship management highly desirable
• Soldering Certified

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support Test Engineers with various types of testing to include:
• Fabricating/Machining parts for test support, Infrared Data Collection, UAS/CUAS, Target Vehicle Operations, Aircraft Survivability Equipment, Sensors, lasers, radar, Force Protection Systems, Integrated Base Defense.
• Assist with Network Installation and Management, Test Setup, Test Execution, and Test Tear-down.
• Help develop requirements, procedures, and unique test methods.
• Support equipment maintenance and inventory.
• Interfaces with Government customers and other agency representatives.
• Participates in projects from the planning stage.
• Travel is required.
