What does a Process Engineer do?

The Process Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and controlling industrial processes to maximize efficiency and quality. This role involves analyzing production workflows, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements to ensure smooth operations. You will play a key part in launching a new production line, working closely with cross-functional teams to define standards, execute trials, and drive continuous improvement.

We are looking for someone young, ambitious, and eager to contribute to our Passirana plant. Here's what you will do and the skills you'll need to succeed:



  • Take ownership of Standard Operating Conditions (SOC) and Technical Standard Work Instructions (SWI). Requires attention to detail, technical accuracy, and ability to document processes clearly.
  • Support manufacturing with day-to-day troubleshooting using problem-solving tools. Needs strong analytical thinking, practical problem-solving skills, and adaptability under pressure.
  • Collaborate actively with production and maintenance teams. Demands excellent communication skills, team spirit, and ability to coach and share technical expertise.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and asset utilization. Requires curiosity, open-mindedness, and knowledge of continuous improvement techniques.
  • Work closely with Quality to maintain and update product specifications. Needs precision, quality mindset, and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Participate in development activities and trials for new materials and processes. Calls for initiative, innovation, and willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Chemistry, Material Science Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a production environment (internships or early-career roles welcome).
  • Demonstrated interest in process optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Italian native speaker with good English proficiency.
