Team Leader

About the Role:

As a Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and guiding a team of employees to ensure the successful completion of tasks and achievement of team objectives. You will serve as a mentor, coach, and motivator to team members, fostering a positive work environment and promoting collaboration and teamwork.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

* Daily tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

* Leading by example to demonstrate flexibility in satisfying customer demands which include mail, shipping and receiving, package research, other tasks as assigned

* Ensure each team member provides the highest level of prompt and friendly customer service

* Monitor and ensure well-maintained tidiness in office workstations and dock area

* Maintain all logs and reporting documentation in a timely manner

* Receiving package deliveries and preparing outgoing package shipments

Process Goods Receipts and Requisitions using Oracle Cloud

* Lifting heavy boxes, files, or paper when needed

* Take directions from manager

* Participate in cross-training

* Provide backfill as needed

* Availability for overtime or coverage during absences

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar leadership or supervisory role, preferably in a related industry or field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire, and influence team members to achieve their goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to delegate tasks, manage conflicts, and drive performance improvement initiatives.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing teams, coordinating projects, and delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

?Requirements:

* Appropriate leadership skills and aptitude to lead others

* Strong organizational skills, attention to details

* Ability to work with minimal supervision

* Ability to run a variety of tasks while fostering teamwork

* Ability to consistently adhere to business procedure guidelines and policies, and company safety standards

* Accountability to meet the employer's attendance policy

* Ability to take and follow directions

* Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

* Ability to stand, walk or sit for long periods of time

* Professional presence - dealing with customers and mgmt. on daily basis

* Computer experience (Word, Excel preferred)

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Experience with package tracking systems

* Able to lift 55 lbs.

* Ability to stand, walk or sit for long periods of time

* Able to operate a small fork truck and pallet jacks

Pay Disclosure: The pay rate for this position starts at $24.50/hr.; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Bonus opportunities may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
