Materials Management Tech II

Purpose of Job

Responsible and accountable for shipping and receiving functions of the Ridgeview Medical Center supply chain. Assists with storeroom support and distribution functions for all Ridgeview Departments.

Job Functions

1. Receive merchandise into the organization utilizing the Materials Management Information System (MMIS).
2. Distribute products throughout the organization.
3. Maintain central distribution area to ensure supplies are clean and well organized to support accurate inventory counts and product integrity.
4. Ship returns using the appropriate courier or shipping method.
5. Perform courier functions as needed and coordinate courier runs in the absence of the Distribution Coordinator.
6. Maintains location/department specific inventory lists and ensures supplies are kept at appropriate levels.
7. Provides first point of contact for supply chain related customer service inquires and needs at offsite locations.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education/Work Experience

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• 3 + year's experience in warehouse or supply chain

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions
• Ability to make simple mathematical calculations, including the use of a calculator
• Ability to understand verbal and written instruction in the English language and respond accordingly in order to complete job functions as mentioned above

License/Certifications

• US MN DOT Medical Certification (if required to drive the cube truck)

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 or more years inventory management experience
