Description
Reporting to Deputy News Editor David Malakoff, the AI in Science reporter will establish News from Science as the leader in covering how artificial intelligence, especially large language models, is transforming scientific research. The goal is to make Science required reading for scientists from other disciplines who want to understand the potential and pitfalls of these powerful technologies for their own work, young scientists wondering how AI might affect their careers and future workplaces, and policymakers interested in the implications of AI for the scientific enterprise. This is a hybrid position, based in Science's Washington, DC, office. Help us ignite the next era of science. What You'll Do

AAAS currently provides the following benefits for this position: paid vacation leave, paid sick leave, paid holidays, health insurance, flexible spending account, dental insurance, life insurance, vision insurance, retirement benefits, short- and long-term disability, each subject to the terms of the applicable program. Additional benefits may apply.
