Location Address: 1100 Central Avenue SE , Albuquerque, New Mexico 87106-4930, United States of America Compensation Pay Range: Minimum Offer $: 49.76 Maximum Offer for this position is up to $: 77.92 Summary: The Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for Infusion Services provides overall clinical, operational, and regulatory leadership for infusion pharmacy services, with primary responsibility at Presbyterian Downtown Infusion. This role ensures safe, compliant, and high-quality pharmacy operations while supporting staff, workflows, and interdisciplinary collaboration. While the primary location is Presbyterian Downtown, there may be an occasional need to float to other infusion sites, including High Resort Infusion in Rio Rancho, to support continuity of care and operational alignment. Compounds, packages, labels, and dispenses medications. Advises patients and families on the use of medications including dosage, side effects, and composition. Maintains professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-services, and workshops. Monitors medication use for appropriateness. Oversees the activities of technicians, interns, and students. Participates in education programs for pharmacy staff, attends meetings as required, and participates on committees as needed. Participates in training pharmacists, technicians, students, and residents. Consults with and advises healthcare providers regarding optimal and cost-effective utilization of drugs. Performs other functions as required. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree Education specialization: Pharmacy Registered Pharmacist Licensed New Grads are welcome to apply. Responsible for on-call, weekend, night, and/or holiday coverage as required on a rotating basis. Less than one year experience in pharmacy practice preferred. Preferred: Experience in infusion pharmacy and IV room operations. Additional consideration for candidates with infusion-related accreditations (e.g., Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist [BCOP], Sterile Compounding Certification, or similar).
