Job Responsibilities

The Manager, Operational Analysis will play a key role in overall strategic management of the organization to ensureour businessgoals andobjectivesareattained.

  • Identifyand analyze key business drivers - both financial and nonfinancial.
  • Oversee and analyze detailed monthly, quarterly, and annualinternalreporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Serve as the primary point of communication and liaison with Corporate Finance, Research, Operations, and Koppers Performance Chemicals (KPC) management."
  • Continually refine andenhanceinternalreporting, including new metrics and analyses, toprovidedeeper insight into the business.
  • Prepare comparative cost estimatesonnew products and/or modifications and improvements to existing products.
  • Develop andmaintainsales,cost,and profitability models.
  • Prepareand evaluatestrategic plans on time horizons for up tofive years.
  • Calculate monthly rebates andvalidatecustomer requests.On a quarterly basis, review therebate accrual for completenesswith accounting.
  • Overseecustomerincentiveaccruals and disbursements and forecast future payments.
  • Maintain andupdate acomplete listing of all customer contracts, pricing, customer development, rebates, and cashdiscountprograms.
  • Initiatesalesbudgetingby customer,plant, month, and item number.
  • Producead hocsalesreportingby productand customer, net of all reductionsafterrebates.
  • Lead local and global meetings ensuring informative and collaborative decision making.
  • Responsible for weekly/monthly/ad-hoccollection, consolidation, interpretation and reporting of globalfinancials,forecastsand target KPI's.
  • Prepares quarterly reportsand otheranalysisforPresident, Koppers Performance Chemicals.
  • Preparesreports for executive team meetings asrequested.
  • Analyze and prepare financial business models for potential acquisition targets
  • Communicate effectively within the organization and with external stakeholders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Master's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline from an accredited college or university preferred
  • 10 years of finance, business administration, or related discipline
  • Management experience ina manufacturing, distribution / operationsenvironment, orequivalentrequired.
  • Experiencein a chemical manufacturing environment is preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • Experiencewithan ERP/accountingenvironment
  • AdvancedExcel and database modeling experience required (PowerQuery)
  • Full cycle accounting management experience (revenue and inventory experiencerequired)
  • Standard cost and multi-level bill-of-material experience preferred
  • Effectively prioritizes tasks, manages competing deadlines, and delivers critical analyses and reports on demand.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Willing to work as a member of a team
  • Experience in systems analysis, design, implementation, and data modeling
  • Ability to effectively work with andmaintainthe confidentiality of sensitive materials and information
