Description:

• Assistwith patient admission, orientation to room and safety features, and securing valuables.

• Obtain vital signs, apply cardiac monitors, and performEKG testing

• Support nurses and providers in patient care, including transfers, discharges, splinting, and wound care.

• Collect blood, urine, and other specimens followinghospitalpolicy.

• Recognize and report abnormal heart rhythms or vital signs to the care team.

• Maintain clean, stocked, and safe patient care areas;locateand manage equipment.

• Communicate professionally with patients, families, and staff to promote a positive environment.

• Adhere to hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards whileparticipatingin requiredtrainings.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Glucometer Training

• Previouslaboratory or customer service experience preferred.

• Data entry and computer experience and /or phlebotomy, point of care testing experience preferred.

• Nursing Assistant experience or prior phlebotomy training/experience is preferred

• New employees requiring CPR-Basic Life Support (BLS)-American Heart Association should receive (CPR) training within the first week of orientation.
