As aServices Technicianwith Insight,you willperforminstallation, modification, repair, testing and/or servicing on systems and communications equipment, including, but not limitedtohardware and peripherals; software configuration; voice,videoand data cabling systems; and networks.We willcount on you toIdentify system hardware problems anddeterminethe most efficient andcost effectiveway of resolving the problem.Along the way,you willPerform necessary hardware and peripheral repair, keeping client downtime to a minimum.

As aServicesTechnicianyou willget to:

  • Performs necessary hardware and peripheral repairs. This includes, but is not limited to, identifying the problem and determining the most efficient andcost effectiveway to resolve the problem, keeping customer downtime to a minimum.

  • Installs and tests system hardware at customer site.This includes, but is not limited to, setting up the hardware, testing the hardware to make sure it is working, identifying system hardware problems and following any special instructions.

  • Completes all required documentation involved in a service call to ensureaccuratebilling, andtimelyreturn of defective products/parts, with respect to warranty or contract. This includes completion of required Insight and vendor paperwork, preparing defectiveproductsor parts for return to vendor, and promptly returning defective products/parts and paperwork according to Insight policies and procedures.

  • Understand current depot programs such as Hot Swap and AR3D;participateas needed.

Whatwe'relooking for:

  • IT related Certificate or Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution

  • 2-5 years troubleshooting related experience and/or IT customer service experience in an enterprise environment

  • Strong communication, organizational, customer service and problem-solving skills

  • MustpossessA+ certification

  • MCSE, MCP designation or other certifications are an asset

  • ITIL Foundations designation an asset

  • Working knowledge of PowerShell is an asset

  • Working knowledge of Remedy is an asset

  • MustpossessCurrent Class 5 Alberta Driver's License

  • Current Drivers Abstract
