Job Description

What is the opportunity?

The Senior Application Specialist will be working with RBC Wealth Management's Clearing and Custody Business line. You would be helping to analyze and own the information technology requirements for parts of the Business to Business (B2B) processes, through requirements elicitation, solutions identification, risk analysis and collaboration across teams.

What will you do?

  • Work with Internal Risk / Compliance teams and Vendors/Suppliers to ensure that all internal and external regulatory requirements are met
  • Work closely with solution architects and other technology staff to deliver project results while implementing risk analysis and meeting required deliverables
  • Managing the technical relationship with our external vendors to execute new RBC policies and requirements in a timely manner
  • Develop documents for IT applications, system specifications, and test plans according to existing standards and methodologies

What do you need to succeed?

  • Ability to manage all aspects of testing, verification, implementation planning, and coordination.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to business and technology partners, senior management, and executives by selecting the appropriate approach based on the audience.
  • Resolves conflicts/issues and reports through proper channels as appropriate
  • Ability to effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders, and interface groups using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close.

Must-have

  • 5 - 10 years of Vendor Management Experience
  • Experienced working with API's, from creation through troubleshooting
  • Proficient in technical documentation and training including process mapping

Nice-to-have

  • Proficient in Jira/Confluence and Service Now
  • Experience in Salesforce (or similar applications)
  • Knowledgeable in the Financial Advisory industry

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $70,000 to $130,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.This salary range does not include other elements that comprise our total compensation package, which includes the following: commission sharing eligibility for select roles, a discretionary bonus, a paid time-off plan, our 401(k) program with company-matching contributions, and our health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance.
