Our long-term client relationship with NASA has led to a need for a Data Analytics Engineer on the MTIC contract onsite at JSC (Houston, TX). MTIC supports multiple human spaceflight programs by providing products and services for mission and program technical integration activities. This includes the necessary infrastructure functions for the International Space Station (ISS), Orion and Gateway programs, with the potential for supporting additional human spaceflight programs or projects via task orders.

Qualifications
Required Education/Experience/Skills:
- BS degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Detail oriented - places a high value on accuracy, consistency, and completeness of work.
- Possesses excellent organizational and time management skills - must possess ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, must be comfortable and able to communicate clearly and effectively with others (team members, cross-functional teams, customers, vendors, and other stakeholders).
- Demonstrated experience thinking strategically about issues, leading to recommendations and action plans.
- Experience supporting product, business or operations teams in an analytical capacity.
- Experienced in numerical, statistical, and/or financial analysis.
- Knowledge in conducting quantitative analysis including SQL or Python, R, Java or C#.
- Self-starter, results-oriented with proven previous success at prioritizing and managing multiple tasks of varying complexities in the context of operational impact and corporate goals, as well as meeting tight deadlines.
- Proven logical and analytical problem-solving abilities. Comfort with numerical and statistical analysis.
- Trained or Experienced in designing and implementing data visualizations utilizing tools such as Sisense, Tableau, PowerBI, or other data visualization tools.
Preferences Education/Experience/Skills:
- 1-2 years of data analytics work experience.
- Advanced understanding & hands-on execution knowledge and comfort of relational databases and previous experience working with MS SQL Server including querying, re-engineering, and manipulating data.
- Trained or Experienced in designing and implementing data visualizations utilizing tools such as Sisense, Tableau, PowerBI, or other data visualization tools.
- Advanced MS SQL skills and previous background working with SQL and relational databases for data mining & manipulation.
- Good understanding of MS SSRS for report deployment and code management.
- Advanced Excel skills, with experience with MS Excel's analytics tools (Macros, VBA, Pivot Tables, Charts and Graphs).
- Working knowledge of Sisense.
- Prior work experience in similar role that involved heavy lifting of data, such as a complete ETL process, and working independently with cross-functional business units to analyze data requirements.
- Familiarity with project management and software development lifecycle practices is needed to effectively work with the Project Implementation teams.
- String Inductive Reasoning skills: The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).

- Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation

- May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs
- Must have sufficient mobility to enter areas of test facilities where necessary

- Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical
- Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required
- Must be able to work in a team atmosphere
- Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation
- Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others
- This position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed
