Job Description




As a Security Guard - Armed Government Patrol in Marion, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal assigned to a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help deter security-related incidents while remaining visible and approachable. This is an armed and driving post, where you will interact with the public, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with team members. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns according to Allied Universal and site guidelines.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
  • Assist with access control by verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site-specific policies.
  • Document incidents and complete detailed reports in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed in response to incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
