WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO

The Employee Relations (ER) team focuses on ensuring Hallmark's employment policies and practices support a positive environment and productive culture and helps managers and employees work within those policies and practices to produce outstanding results. The ER team plays a key role in ensuring that Hallmark's workplace, culture, and policies remain second-to-none, and that employee and manager concerns are addressed in a timely and appropriate fashion.

WHAT YOU'LL DO AND HOW IT SHAPES OUR SUCCESS



  • Working directly with managers and employees to address and resolve employee relations issues for Hallmark Products & Retail or Brand Organization
  • Working diligently and with integrity to handle all manner of employee relations issues to ensure a high caliber workplace
  • Using broad HR technical expertise, creative thinking, problem-solving, and client service skills to influence the direction of employee relations issues
  • Playing a key role in the execution of ongoing HR processes and partnering with COEs and client areas on key deliverables
  • Collaborating closely with the HR Director, HR Leads and HR Partners to support and/or lead a variety of HR projects
  • Conducting investigations, providing one-on-one coaching to managers and employees, supporting employee transitions, and assisting with life events

  • The salary range for this role is $60 - $100K. Final compensation varies based on several factors.
  • This is a progressive role designed to grow with you. We'll match the job level to your skills and experience so you can hit the ground running and keep building your career.
  • This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, giving you the best of both worlds: collaborating in person at Headquarters in Kansas City, MO and enjoying the flexibility of working remotely. The Employee Relations (ER) team typically works from home daily, coming into the office on We Connect days (once a month) to meet as a full, extended team. The ER team may periodically report on-site based on client requests.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (the following is required to be considered for this role):



  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years professional work experience
  • 3 years experience in Human Resources or people management



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (your application will stand out if you have the following):



  • Previous Employee Relations experience
  • Previous experience, in functional HR areas such as compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, etc.
  • Certification with SHRM or another accredited organization
  • Experience in line management
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and demonstrate the highest degree of professionalism
  • Approachable with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Analytical, interpersonal, problem solving, and project management skills
  • Ability to simultaneously manage a variety of assignments, work quickly and effectively under time pressures, and prioritize responsibilities and workflow based on the company's strategic goals
  • Confidentiality and attention to detail
  • Local to Kansas City
