Maintenance Engineer

Vitro Architectural Glass, the leading manufacturer of architectural and automotive glass in North America, is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to support plant operations and projects at our Wichita Falls, Texas location.

Our Wichita Falls facility specializes in the production of flat glass using the float process, serving key markets including automotive, trade, and mirror applications. The purpose of the Maintenance Engineer will be to focus on the facility infrastructure along with the upkeep of the building utilities systems.

Knowledge, Education and Experience Required:

• B.S. preferred or A.S. plus equivalent experience
• Industrial manufacturing experience preferred
• Expertise troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and controls problems to identify root cause of failures to prevent recurrence.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• High understanding of industrial manufacturing utility and infrastructure operations including HVAC, compressed air systems, hot water systems, and chilled water systems.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate activities between multiple groups, technical, engineering, and production.
• Ability to work safely on the floor in an industrial production environment. (Includes wearing required PPE)
• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.

Responsibilities:

• Problem solving: diagnose failures and develop action plans to fix defects and prevent future ones.
• Risk management: manage risk to the achievement of an organization's strategic objectives.
• Field data analysis: Review field data to look for trends and issues.
• Lifecycle asset management: manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations.
• Responsible for making engineering improvements for facility reliability.
