Part-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 8:00am - 5:00pm
10 - 28 hours/week

OVERVIEW:

Working as Part-time Programmer PT, you will develop, implement, and support systems that are used at Fastenal.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

o Working with end users to define and clarify business objectives

o Using development tools to develop, implement, and support our systems

o Interacting with other team members and business users

o Completing tasks on time

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

o Possess or are working towards a bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial Science or other related field of study

o Excellent written and oral communication skills

o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities

o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills

o Work independently as well as in a team environment

o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency

o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork

o Pass the required drug screen and background check (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

o Experienced with Windows IoT development

The pay range for this position is $15/hr -18/hr.
