Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Government Driving Patrol in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer at this government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and contribute to a secure environment. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing outstanding customer service. This position requires both driving and armed responsibilities. What You'll Do:

  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies to provide customer service to clients and visitors at the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor for unusual situations that may require emergency response and take appropriate action as directed.
  • Interact with visitors, staff, and/or the public in a professional manner while representing Allied Universal.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any security-related concerns or incidents to the appropriate authorities.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered during patrols.
  • Follow all company and client policies regarding the carrying and use of a firearm while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
  • Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent is required.
  • One or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
