ROLE OVERVIEW:

Responsible to operate tractor trailer belly dump and maintain properly to transport material to designated location in a timely manner. Will travel up to a 150-mile radius of Sioux City. This is a seasonal position that typically works April - November depending on the schedule with a winter lay-off.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job)

1. Uses safe work procedures that comply with safety policies and regulations. (Federal, state, local and company policies.)
2. Pre and post trip inspections. Maintains driver logs when applicable.
3. Daily maintenance of equipment such as cleaning truck inside and out, greasing, oiling, brakes, lights and any other maintenance instructed to perform.
4. Recognize surroundings and practice traffic awareness to maintain a safe environment.
5. Clean spilled material/buildup off box, belt, and gates.
6. Verify that gates are closed.
7. Discharge product.
8. Maintain proper information in truck cab pouch.
9. Report information accurately and completely on daily timecards, truck cab information and other needed paperwork.
10. Maintain and support a safe and harassment free work environment.
11. Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written).
12. Ability to read maps and navigate to new locations.
13. Must be self-motivated, team-player with excellent interpersonal skills; ability to maintain positive attitude and act courteous and respectful toward others.
14. Ability to work with minimum supervision and recognize matters needing attention and initiate action on that recognition.
15. Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members and the public.
16. Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

1. Class A required. Hazmat and tanker endorsements, preferred
2. Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, including medical card, and must have an acceptable driving record
3. Previous truck driving experience, preferred
4. Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime

Compensation:

Beginning pay $25.85, and up, depending on experience.
