Summary:

Intern Dates: May 18, 2026 - August 7, 2026

A meaningful educational experience for a college student to gain valuable experience in their field of study; while accomplishing tasks and completing projects in an enriching environment. The Intern will gain networking opportunities that include interactions with CHRISTUS leaders and Associates. The Intern will be provided with a variety of projects to support learning objectives in Information Technology, specifically within the area of Information Services and Support. Our team will prepare and plan specific areas that are invaluable within the Interns field of study.

Responsibilities:


  • Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
  • Analyze and select projects followed by initial System Development Life Cycle Steps
  • Following SDLC, build and present overall plan to senior developers for approval
  • Build all documentation within the SDLC including Intake, Design, Development, Testing along with associated peer approval process
  • Provide and receive feedback to senior developers in order to stay on track and ascertain skills in managing a project end-to-end
  • Develop and deploy code following industry best practices and organizational standards.
  • Continuously improve deliverables by fixing issues during development and test cycles.
  • Document each phase of development for future reference and maintenance.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements:

Experience:


  • At least 2 years of college preparation towards major.

Education:


  • Currently enrolled in a College degree program in one of the following degree program: Information Technology
  • PC and Microsoft Office Skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively work with others.
  • Quick learner with attention to detail, high degree of confidentiality and solid organizational skills.
  • Needs to be resourceful, innovative and persuasive with ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.

Work Schedule:

8AM - 5PM Monday-Friday
