What to Expect Tesla ships new software to millions of cars the same way your phone gets an overnight update - except if this one fails, the car in your driveway might not start in the morning. The Update Systems team is the last check before that happens. As a Software QA Engineer, you'll design & execute the tests, dig through the data looking for small cracks before they turn into widespread problems, automate the messy edge cases, and prove that every over-the-air update & bootloader change will actually land cleanly on the fleet. When something breaks in the field, you dig into why. This work is what keeps new features & fixes arriving without turning a parked Tesla into a very expensive brick.
