The Global Product Line Manager for Hydraulic Hose sits at the center of one of Gates' most strategically critical portfolios-shaping how we compete, invest, and win in core and emerging markets worldwide. This role goes beyond managing products; it defines the future direction of the hydraulic hose business, balancing innovation, manufacturability, and global scale to deliver sustainable growth and industry leadership. Key Responsibilities

  • Set and steward the global product line strategy, defining portfolio direction, investment priorities, and lifecycle decisions from ideation through end-of-life to deliver profitable, sustainable growth.
  • Accountable for P&L performance, driving revenue growth, pricing discipline, margin expansion, and portfolio vitality across global markets.
  • Identify, justify, and prioritize investments that enable organic growth, new product launches, and long-term strategic initiatives.
  • Serve as the business and product leader for global new product development initiatives, orchestrating cross-functional teams to deliver differentiated solutions on cost, quality, and timing.
  • Lead global commercialization and product launches, ensuring teams are enabled and new offerings land with impact across regions and channels.
  • Leverage strong manufacturing and engineering fluency to align product strategy with scalable, competitive production systems.
  • Transform Voice of Customer, competitive intelligence, and market insight into decisive portfolio actions.
  • Act as the integrator across sales, operations, and engineering to align demand, manufacturability, and supply.

Requirements and Preferred Skills

Required



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, technical sales, application or product engineering, or related roles.
  • Strong business acumen, communication skills, and ability to influence crossfunctionally.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%, including occasional international travel.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.



Preferred



  • Experience with B2B industrial components, elastomers, or engineered products.
  • Global product management or market experience.
  • Exposure to stagegate or structured NPD processes.

Pay & Benefits



  • Full-Time
  • Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000
  • Bonus Eligible
  • Relocation is not provided
  • Medical, Dental, Vision insurance and other voluntary benefit options: benefits beginonthe first day of the month immediately following your date of hire
  • Eligible for 3 weeks of paid vacation + 11 holidays (9 scheduled & 2 floating) + 8 sick days. All vacation days are accrued
  • 401(k): 3% company contribution and additional 3% company match
  • Tuition Reimbursement
